In reality, our lives are filled with routine – our careers, our relationships, our obligations, even our downtime can become repetitive, and I am certainly no exception. Don’t get me wrong, I have a great life. A great job that constantly challenges me, supportive family, fun friends, a rad dog, enough downtime to pursue hobbies like fitness, guitar, and of course, motorcycles. Sometimes you just have to get out of your comfort zone, try something new, go on an adventure…
So here I am taking on a 20 day solo motorcycle ride around the western United States. Ive only been riding for a few years now, and while Ive logged a few thousand miles in my stomping grounds of North Idaho, I am by no means an expert rider.
A bit of travel comes with my job, albeit with plenty of planes, rental cars, and hotels along the way. On this adventure, Ill be camping and couch surfing, and where I lay my head each night is pretty much up in the air. While Ive mapped out a few must-see stops along the way, in reality the path ahead is mostly unknown.
